The main objective of the strategic project of the DIAMOMD group (T15_23R ) is the design and development of advanced materials both in the experimental and computational or virtual fields; working from the point of view of eco-sustainability.
Specific objectives:
Intelligent materials: Generation of technological solutions towards the design, development and implementation of innovative materials that incorporate new and/or multiple functionalities, materials with the capacity to respond to certain stimuli and/or that offer improvements in target properties.
Computational materials: Development and application of tools and techniques to virtually understand and predict the relationships between process, structure, properties and function of the developed materials.
Eco-sustainable materials: Expansion of the knowledge and research base that allows the development and application of different recycling techniques to advanced materials, including the study of the use and recyclability of bio-based materials and their contribution to intelligent materials.
Sustainable material transformation processes. Promotion, through R&D&I activities, of the sustainability of the transformation processes of the advanced materials developed. The study will consider providing intelligence to the material transformation processes by means of sensorization and advanced control that incorporates know-how from the physics of the processes.
