P.O. FEDER ARAGON 2007-2013:

Diagnosis, analysis and proposals to stimulate innovation in industrial and service sectors.

Diagnosis, analysis and proposals to stimulate the development of the innovation in the industrial and services sectors is the operation co-financed by the Operational Program FEDER ARAGON 2007-2013 and managed by the Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA).

Specifically, this operation belongs to Axis 5 “Technical Assistance” and Priority theme 86 “Evaluation and studies; information and communication”. and its main objective is ?the performance of evaluations with competitiveness of the companies that make up the companies that make up the different production sectors in the Community and the study of the creation of new sectors through the identification, development, transfer and dissemination of innovative technologies within a framework of collaboration with other agents?

DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATION:

By means of cooperation with business networks, clusters and/or The following types of sectoral partnerships will be worked on different performance:

1) Sectoral situation studies:

Diagnostic actions aimed at evaluating the characteristics of the business fabric in different sectors of activity in terms of their capabilities, needs and innovation potential.

? Sector or thematic characterization reports:

• Identification and filtering of the different economic sectors in the Autonomous Community of Aragon (in decline, consolidated, emerging) and analysis and diagnosis of the same.
• Analysis of databases with the number and characteristics of the companies, existing sub-sectors, size of the companies, branches of industry, and activity, technologies, competitive and economic situation, capacity and history of innovation, etc.
• Analysis of activities, technologies, areas of knowledge and product ranges of the companies.
• Determination of the main characteristics of the sector.

? Studies of technological trends at sectoral or thematic level:

• Technology watch: continuous attention to market news, new technical developments, new products, etc.
• Technology watch and sectorial competitive intelligence reports.
• Sectoral technology foresight reports, with the aim of identifying and assessing medium and long-term trends.

2) Sectoral strategic plans:

Development of sectoral strategic plans, which promote the improvement of the of the competitiveness of productive sectors and value chains in Aragón, oriented to the:

• Development of R&D&I plans: new products, processes, management and organization.
• Definition and development of technology plans. Identification of the innovation and technology needs. Specialization and training in new technologies.
• Development of technological and/or industrial diversification strategies.
• Internationalization of the new markets in which its constituent companies operate.
• Promotion of cooperation between companies, with the objective of advancing competitiveness.
