04.- INFORMATION TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON THE PROJECT AND ITS OBJECTIVES

The R&D&I activities defined in the present document are The studies fit perfectly within the thematic priority “Communications and data processing in the valuechain” set out in Annex VII of the call for proposals.

This is because the objective of the present study is the definition of a portfolio of experimental development and innovation projects related to the application of blockchain technology, in combination with other technologies (especially IoT), for the generation of new services and innovative global business models for the construction machinery manufacturing sector. Therefore, it can be noted that the focus of this study is perfectly aligned with the type of projects expected in the thematic area ” Communications and data processing in the value chain“.

In this project, an analysis of the technology is addressed blockchain, from a technological, regulatory and legal point of view, that will allow to know the Spanish manufacturers of construction machinery and their strengths and limitations, and from there, it is possible to define innovative new services and new global business models based on the attributes and capabilities of blockchain technology.

To this end, the following activities will be carried out:

• Capture of needs and opportunities to be solved in the global value chain of the manufacturers of construction machinery that may be susceptible to generating new services or new business models.
• Realization of an implementation study (opportunities, constraints and possible solutions) of blockchain technology for the construction machinery manufacturing sector. Classification of the most relevant technologies (platforms, development tools, etc.). integration with IoT systems, tools for smart contracts, etc.)
• Development of a technological demonstrator at laboratory level that allows to visualize the operation of the of blockchain technology for the generation of a service in a simulated environment, This will allow a better dissemination of the possibilities of this technology. among construction machinery manufacturers.
• Development of business models for manufacturers of construction machinery for the construction industry the provision and sale of services based on blockchain technology in the combination with other technologies (especially IoT).
• Generation of projects for the development and implementation of new services and/or new/improved services. machines that through the use of blockchain technology in combination with other technologies (especially IoT) will enable the implementation of new business models for construction machinery manufacturers.
