01.- NAME OF THE PROJECT
AUTOMAQ – Feasibility study of 4.0 technologies for the robotization of mobile machinery.
02.- SUMMARY
This project aims to advance in the automation of the construction processes at through the robotization of the machinery, focusing the work on the group of mobile machines since it has been considered one of the most susceptible groups to be robotized, at least, in its translation function by the environment constructive.
03.- GENERAL DATA
04.- INFORMATION TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON THE PROJECT AND ITS OBJECTIVES
This study is conceived with a Construction 4.0 approach, i.e. within a new paradigm that advocates that construction sites, worksites, be taken into account as manufacturing environments, where the technological and operational advances related to the Connected Industry can be applied.
Construction 4.0 is a paradigm shift. Beyond the technological issue, Construction 4.0 is based on a novel premise where the works are seen as productive factories in which products are “manufactured” (buildings, roads, tunnels…) through productive means (machinery) and by means of organized methods (projects). This manufacturing vision brings us closer to the industrialization of construction, and with it, to being able to incorporate technologies that are already leading relevant innovations in other industries of more productive conception, such as the automobile industry. In short, construction 4.0 is to conceptualize construction as a manufacturing industry, and to assimilate for the sector the precepts of Industry 4.0.
From a technological perspective, one of the revolutions will come with the automation of construction processes through the robotization of construction machinery. Among the whole spectrum of machines that coexist on a construction site, mobile machinery is one of the groups most susceptible to being robotized, at least in its function of moving around the construction environment.
As an example, Table 1 shows three of the main construction processes and their respective mobile machines that can be robotized in such a way that they are autonomous in their translation and integrate the automation of some of their functions, for example, the gunite spraying as a robotized boom.

The main result expected from the study will be a Report technological report for the robotization of mobile construction machinery that will include, among other contents, a roadmap of innovation projects technological innovation in construction machinery.
