AI for photovoltaic monitoring

The software platform developed at AMBITELL facilitates the management and maintenance of industrial self-consumption photovoltaic plants and integrates AI tools.

ITA’s work has focused on anomaly detection through the development of Machine Learning/Deep Learning models, based on the CRISP-DM(cross-industry process for data mining) methodology. These activities have made it possible to generate alerts when plant operation is not as expected, extracting key information from monitoring to improve management and maintenance.

Problem

AMB GREENPOWER is dedicated to the development, construction, operation and maintenance of photovoltaic self-consumption plants. Managing the information from a large number of plants requires a monitoring system that brings together the data from the different types of solar modules in an agile and efficient way. If, in addition, we want to get the most out of the data, artificial intelligence becomes an essential ally to optimize decision making in the management and maintenance processes of photovoltaic self-consumption plants.

Results

The AMBITELL project has been carried out in collaboration with the companies AMB GREEN POWER, and ELLIOT CLOUD, and the Energy Cluster of Aragon (CLENAR). ITA’s work has focused on anomaly detection through the development of Machine Learning/Deep Learning models, based on the CRISP-DM(cross-industry process for data mining) methodology.
