El proyecto LEVIS estará presente en la Conferencia Transport Research Arena, en Lisboa

El proyecto europeo LEVIS, que coordina el Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón ITAINNOVA, estará presente en la Conferencia Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2022 en Lisboa del 14 al 17 de noviembre de 2022. TRA 2022 es el mayor evento europeo de investigación y tecnología sobre transporte y movilidad. Bajo el lema «Moviéndose juntos: reinventando la movilidad en todo el mundo», TRA 2022 proporciona una plataforma para desarrollos revolucionarios y estrategias innovadoras, al tiempo que tiene como objetivo asegurar el conocimiento y las experiencias en la investigación e innovación del transporte europeo. Los temas incluyen formas de transporte eficientes, seguras, libres de carbono, inclusivas y sostenibles, y un intercambio sobre cómo involucrar a los ciudadanos, la industria y los gobiernos.

LEVIS es un proyecto de la UE con el objetivo de desarrollar componentes ligeros para vehículos eléctricos utilizando enfoques circulares y de diseño ecológico. Para ello, LEVIS hace uso de soluciones multimaterial basadas en compuestos termoplásticos reforzados con fibra integrados con metal, que se producirán utilizando tecnologías de fabricación rentables y escalables. Estas tecnologías pueden contribuir directamente a mejorar la autonomía del vehículo. El objetivo del consorcio del proyecto es demostrar la viabilidad técnica y económica de producir estos componentes en tres demostradores reales a gran escala: un brazo de suspensión, un conjunto de cajas de batería y una viga transversal.

LEVIS participará en TRA 2022 en el marco de la Sesión Invitada 9 «Eficiencia, alcance e impacto ambiental mejorados de EV a través de innovaciones en materiales livianos». La sesión está organizada por el clúster automotriz Enlight EVs, que consta de todos los proyectos de la UE que han recibido financiación bajo el tema de la convocatoria LC-GV-06-2020 Materiales ligeros avanzados y sus procesos de producción para aplicaciones automotrices (LEVIS, ALMA, Fatigue4Light, FLAMINGo, REVOLUTION ).

La sesión tiene lugar el martes 15 de noviembre de 2022, de 8:30 am a 10 am en el Centro de Congresos de Lisboa. El proyecto LEVIS será presentado por Clara Valero, del socio del proyecto ITAINNOVA.

8 The LEVIS project is present at the Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference 2022 in Lisbon on 14-17 November 2022. TRA 2022 is the largest European Research and Technology event on transport and mobility. Under the motto “Moving together – reimagining mobility worldwide”, TRA 2022 provides a platform for revolutionary developments and innovative strategies while aiming to secure knowledge and experiences in European transport research and innovation. Topics include efficient, safe, carbon-free, inclusive, and sustainable ways of transportation, and an exchange on how to engage citizens, industry, and governments.

LEVIS is an EU Project with the aim to develop lightweight components for electric vehicles using eco-design and circular approaches. For this, LEVIS makes use of multi-material solutions based on fibre-reinforced thermoplastic composites integrated with metal, which will be produced using cost-effective and scalable manufacturing technologies. These technologies can directly contribute to improving vehicle range. The project consortium’s goal is to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of producing these components in three real-case demonstrators at a large scale: a suspension arm, a battery box set and a cross-car beam.

LEVIS will participate at TRA 2022 in the framework of Invited Session 9 “Improved EV efficiency, range and environmental impact through innovations in lightweight materials”. The session is organised by the automotive cluster Enlight EVs, consisting of all EU projects that have received funding under call topic LC-GV-06-2020 Advanced light materials and their production processes for automotive applications (LEVIS, ALMA, Fatigue4Light, FLAMINGo, REVOLUTION).

The session takes place on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 8:30 am until 10 am at the Lisbon Congress Center.The LEVIS project will be presented by Clara Valero from project partner ITAINNOVA.
